    Are you a passionate and experienced early years professional ready to take the next step in your career? The  nursery is  looking for a committed and enthusiastic Nursery Deputy Manager to join our supportive team and help lead the day-to-day operations of our high-quality childcare setting.

    As Deputy Manager, you will play a key leadership role, supporting the Nursery Manager to ensure excellence in early years education, safeguarding, health & safety, and team management. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an organisation that values child-centred care and staff development.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Support the Nursery Manager with the effective daily running of the nursery

    Be the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring child protection policies are upheld

    Oversee the implementation of a play-based curriculum aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

    Monitor and maintain high standards in learning, care, and safety across the setting

    Take responsibility for staff supervision, deployment, appraisals, and training

    Lead by example to ensure inclusive practice, positive behaviour management, and a nurturing learning environment

    Assist with inspections, self-evaluation, and quality improvement processes

    Liaise with parents, carers, external agencies, and RAF base representatives

    Manage aspects of budgeting, fee collection, and resource planning in collaboration with the Nursery Manager

    What We’re Looking For:

    Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years Education/Childcare (essential)

    Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and early childhood development

    Experience in a supervisory or senior practitioner role in a nursery setting

    A confident leader with excellent communication and team management skills

    Knowledge of GDPR, health & safety, and relevant regulatory frameworks

    A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a passion for high-quality childcare

    Must be willing to wear uniform and follow security procedures associated with RAF bases
