Job Description

  • A family based in St Albans are seeking an experienced and proactive nanny to care for their two children, aged 13 and 9.

    They are looking for a long-term nanny who is highly organised, reliable, and confident in taking full responsibility for managing the children’s daily routines and overall care. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, engaging, and able to support the children’s development while ensuring a smooth-running household.

    Start Date: ASAP


    Working Hours:

    Term Time: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm to 7:30pm (30 hours per week)

    School Holidays: Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 7:30pm (50 hours per week)

    29 weeks at term-time hours

    9 weeks at school holiday hours


    Salary:

    £29,120 to £32,760 per annum

    (Salary will be averaged and paid equally across 12 months)



    Key Responsibilities:

    * Managing the children’s daily schedules, school diaries, and activities

    * School runs and after-school collections

    * Supporting with homework and encouraging educational development

    * Preparing and cooking nutritious meals for the children

    * Organising holiday activities, clubs, and playdates

    * Running family errands (e.g. post office, online orders, preparing school items)

    * Maintaining a tidy and organised home environment

    * Including light housekeeping such as kitchen tidying, children’s laundry, changing bed linen, and general upkeep (a cleaner is also employed)



    Essential Requirements:

    * A driver with their own car

    * Previous nanny experience with similar age groups

    * A reliable, flexible, and proactive approach

    * Excellent organisational and time-management skills
