Job Description

  • A family based in St Albans are seeking a Nanny to support the care of their two children, aged 13 and 9 years.

    They are looking for a long-term nanny who is proactive, highly organised, and able to take full responsibility for managing all aspects of the children’s routines and day-to-day needs.


    Start Date: ASAP Start

    Children: 2 Children aged 13 and 9 years


    Working Hours:

    Monday to Friday 2pm-7:30pm (Term time: 30 hours per week)

    Monday to Friday 7:30am-7:30pm (School holidays: 60 hours per week)


    Key Responsibilities include:

    Managing the children’s daily schedules and school diaries

    School runs and collecting the children from school

    Supporting with homework and educational activities

    Preparing and cooking meals for the children

    Organising holiday activities, clubs, and playdates

    Running family errands (e.g. post office, online shopping, ensuring school items are prepared)

    Keeping the home tidy and organised, including light housekeeping such as tidying the kitchen, laundry for the children, changing bed linen, and general upkeep (the family also employ a cleaner)


    Essential Requirements:

    A driver with their own car

    Previous nanny experience with similar age groups

    A reliable, flexible and hands-on approach

    Excellent organisational skills


    Salary: £16 to £18 gross per hour, depending on experience

    29 weeks at term-time hours

    19 weeks at school holiday hours
