Job Description

  • The Role

    As a qualified Childcare Assistant, you will be responsible for creating a safe, welcoming and engaging setting for our youngest members. This

    includes supervising play, supporting children’s wellbeing, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring all safeguarding and health & safety

    procedures are followed.

    Key Responsibilities

    Ensure a safe environment is provided for all Crèche users, offering appropriate social, creative, and fun activities.

    Assist with basic administrative tasks such as registers and equipment checks.

    Follow all Crèche policies, safeguarding procedures, and behaviour management guidelines.

    Maintain confidentiality in line with safeguarding and Data Protection regulations.

    Report any welfare concerns to the Junior Activities Coordinator or the designated Child Welfare Officer.

    Adhere to all health and safety regulations and club policies.

    Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment.

    Be fully trained and prepared for emergency and evacuation procedures.

    Deliver excellent customer service in line with Lensbury standards.

    Communicate professionally and warmly with parents, guardians, and colleagues.

    Carry out additional duties as required

    What we’re looking for:

    To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications, attitude, behaviours, skills, and values:

    Minimum Level 2 Childcare qualification required (Level 3 desirable)

    Previous experience in a similar environment

    A genuine passion for creating great experiences for children and their families

    A friendly, calm and approachable nature, with the ability to act quickly and effectively

    Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to complete) ?
