    Are you ready to take the next step in your early years career? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Room Leader to lead by example, support a dynamic team, and create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

    Salary: £26,166 gross per hour 
    Holiday: 30 days per annum 

    Your Key Responsibilities

    Leadership & Management

    Support the Nursery Management Team in the daily running of the setting.

    Lead your room team, delegate tasks fairly, and foster a supportive and respectful environment.

    Ensure all staff follow nursery policies, safeguarding procedures, and EYFS requirements.

    Mentor and support new staff, students, and trainees.

    Promote inclusion, British Values, and a safe, secure setting for all.

    Learning & Development

    Oversee planning, observations, and assessments to meet the individual needs of children.

    Take responsibility as a key person and guide others in the role.

    Track and monitor children’s progress, helping to close any gaps in development.

    Ensure high-quality teaching strategies and rich learning opportunities in your room.

    Daily Operations

    Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across the nursery and your room.

    Keep accurate records for accidents, incidents, attendance, and equipment.

    Support meal and snack times, promoting independence through self-service.

    Ensure room displays reflect diversity, children’s learning, and are regularly updated.

    Teamwork & Communication

    Build strong partnerships with parents and carers, sharing regular updates.

    Attend team meetings, appraisals, and CPD sessions to grow professionally.

    Reflect on practice, contribute to improvement plans, and uphold the nursery’s ethos.
