Lucy Davis, Franchise Owner

Lucy Davis

Lucy has been in recruitment for over 20 years within the IT, Finance, Sales and Childcare Sectors for companies such as Michael Page International, Crone Corkill, Robert Walters and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Between 2000 and 2004 Lucy managed the Tinies Central London nanny agency recruitment desk before relocating with her husband to New York.

While in New York, Lucy had some first-hand experience of nannying, which gave her a good knowledge of the skill set required to become an excellent nanny.

On returning to the UK in 2007, Lucy set up Tinies Brighton & Sussex before having her first child in 2008. Lucy believes her many years recruitment experience, being a mother herself and having been a nanny consolidates both what clients and nannies are looking for in a childcare recruitment agency.

Amy Mechen, Managing Recruiter

Amy Mechen

Amy has worked in the recruitment industry since 2008 specialising in Aviation, Industrial and Care Sectors placing both temporary and permanent candidates for a wide range of high profile clients across the UK. Amy has dealt with all levels of recruitment from high volume business, through to specialist roles such as Operations Managers.

In March 2013 Amy joined Tinies as a Senior Recruiter on the Nursery Desk, and was responsible for the temporary side of the business. Amy loved the fast pace and the mapping of the temporary desk and thrived on ensuring nurseries were fully staffed and able to operate on a temporary and emergency basis.

In January 2016 Amy was promoted to our Recruiting Manager and started overseeing both the Nursery and Nanny Desks. Since becoming Manager she has loved working more closely with all members of the team - "I love working with all of the girls, they all feel really passionately about the childcare industry and this is a pleasure to work with!"

In August 2016, Amy had her beautiful son, Dougie, and since spending time in various mothers groups and baby sessions in Sussex during her maternity leave, she is returning to Tinies as Manager and also launching the Tinies Mobile Crèche side of the business! Having enjoyed local baby groups herself as a mother, she is most looking forward to applying this knowledge and creating a business that will encompass all that she loves and is needed in this growing sector.

Milena Parker-Jurd, Recruitment Consultant

Milena Parker-Jurd

Milena grew up in Oxfordshire but came to Brighton to study for her degree in English Literature and Language. Although a country girl at heart, she fell in love with Brighton, and decided to stay on and live here permanently.

While studying Milena worked in Sainsbury's in Customer Services, and between the two, found time to gather work experience in the publishing, marketing and writing sector.

Milena still very much enjoys writing and reading, and in her spare time writes film reviews for a blog. Milena also has a love for animals and has spent some time in South Africa working on conservation in a game reserve and is a qualified biological surveyor! Milena and her partner are now looking to fill their house with animals.

In 2014 Milena joined Tinies as an Admin/Resourcer and in 2015 she joined the nursery desk as a Junior Recruiter recruiting for the permanent side of the business. She loves interviewing candidates, finding candidates their perfect nursery roles and finding nurseries their ideal candidates; she also loves the fast paced environment of the nursery desk!

Sally McGrath, Recruitment Consultant

Sally McGrath

Sally McGrath joined Tinies in 2016 to work alongside Amy Mechen on the temporary nursery desk. Sally has a BTEC in Early Years and a BA hons degree in tourism & hospitality. She has over 10 years childcare work experience working in a variety of settings including Neilson Holidays (running their childcare clubs) local nurseries and families.

Sally is really excited about using her childcare knowledge in a capacity of helping other childcarers and childcare provisions find their perfect roles/childcarers. "I absolutely love working in the childcare sector and what I love about Tinies is that we are focused on the candidate to foster strong and honest relationships, it's absolutely paramount we find them their perfect role to make happy candidates which then makes happy clients".

Kate Sharp, Finance Manager

Kate Sharp

Kate has worked in accounts for over 10 years starting in a small practice in Leeds and then moving to one of the top ten UK accountancy practices where she completed her ACCA qualification back down south where she now lives.

Since having her second child in 2012, Kate has worked in Industry on a part time basis. She started working for Tinies in 2016 and absolutely loves it.

Kate says her work life balance is perfect as it allows her to spend good quality time with her boys and she also gets to enjoy her work.

Kate completes all the invoicing for the Brighton office and ensures all staff gets paid. She also keeps all accounting records and helps ensure the office finances are all running smoothly.

Kate loves working within the Brighton team and says that the girls in the office are so hard working and genuinely care about all the candidates they place ensuring that they are all appropriately matched to the right job for them. They are also good fun too!

Millie Ball, Junior Nanny Consultant

Millie joined Tinies in January 2017 as a Junior Nanny Consultant. Millie's journey in childcare started when she worked in a nursery for two years after finishing college. She then decided to take a year out and experience a different way of life by travelling to Australia. Whilst in Australia Millie worked for Guide Dogs Charity as a Senior Team Leader in a sales team and managed to raise over half a million dollars for the charity. She then travelled around South East Asia for 4 months to experience different lifestyles and cultures. After returning to the UK, Millie joined the Tinies team to utilise her knowledge, enthusiasm and skills to help families find the perfect nanny and to help childcarers find their dream roles. Millie feels Tinies is a perfect fit for her and she looks forward to finding the right people to build relationships.
