Job Description

  • This nursery in PE7 are looking to take on a new Early Years Educator who will provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where all children are supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. This role involves working closely with the Nursery Management team to deliver high-quality care and education in line with policies and procedures. This role is 32.5 / 39 hours a week with a salary of £18,317.81 per annum

    Requirements:
    • Sufficient understanding of English to ensure the well-being of children (as per EYFS).
    • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare.
    • Experience or knowledge of the voluntary sector.
    • Current experience in the childcare and early years sector.
    • Knowledge of child development, safeguarding procedures, and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice.
    • Ability to conduct observations and assessments following EYFS guidelines.
    • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and engage positively with parents, carers, and external agencies.
    • Understanding of the impact of discriminatory experiences on children and commitment to providing a positive, inclusive environment.
    • Friendly, flexible approach, with a commitment to young children and families.



    Duties:
    • Act as a key person for a group of children, supporting their learning and development.
    • Plan stimulating and age-appropriate play and learning activities, both indoors and outdoors.
    • Conduct observations to assess children’s development, health, and well-being, maintaining accurate records via the nursery management system.
    • Supervise children, assessing risk to ensure a safe environment.
    • Foster positive relationships with parents and carers, ensuring regular communication about their child’s progress.
    • Support children with special educational needs or disabilities, ensuring their individual needs are met.
    • Assist with snack preparation, taking into account dietary and allergy requirements.
