Job Description
- Special Needs Nanny Opportunity – Flexible Shifts Available
A warm and welcoming family is seeking a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic nanny (male or female) to support their 13-year-old son who has complex special needs. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys making a meaningful difference and is comfortable working either independently or as part of a small care team.
Available Shifts
- Monday to Thursday: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
- Fridays: Optional, based on your availability
- School Holidays: 3–4 days per week
- Additional Hours: The family is happy to extend the role to include errands and household tasks during school hours if desired
Key Responsibilities
- Afternoon Care:
- Welcome the child home from school transport
- Prepare and feed a blended meal
- Provide personal care and assist with bathing
- Holiday Activities:
- Opportunity to plan and enjoy outings with the child during school breaks
About the Child
- Non-verbal with limited mobility
- Requires 1:1 care and full support with personal care
- Enjoys music—especially nursery rhymes—so a nanny who loves to sing is a big plus
- All necessary specialist equipment is available in the home to support feeding, bathing, and nappy changing
Requirements
- Must be a confident driver
- You’ll be using the family’s vehicle—no need to use your own
