The parents are busy with a toddler who was about to turn 2 years old. They are due their second baby later in the year. The father works full-time, and the mother is self-employed, working part-time.
The family knew now was the time to hire a nanny to support the toddler through the birth of her new sibling and then ongoing, supporting the family with a new baby and eventually taking on sole charge when the mother returned to work. Without family nearby, they also needed a nanny who was willing to be on call for when the mother went into labour.
The parents had tried to search for a nanny using online websites, but discovered there was not enough high calibre candidates to choose from.
They filled in an online Tinies parent enquiry form and were pleased to discover that not only could Tinies send them a wide range of qualified and experienced nannies, but could also advise them on payroll options, Ofsted registration for the nanny, and employment contracts to use.
Upon receipt of their enquiry, Tinies contacted contacted the parents to discuss their needs and the best way forward. It was agreed that they needed a nanny who had with experience with younger children, and who could take initiative during upcoming changes that the family were about to go through. The parents had a few ‘what if’ questions and our Tinies consultant was able to respond to them all.
Tinies sent the parents CVs of six well qualified and vetted nannies. After telephone interviews they decided to progress to a face-to-face interview with a Tinies consultant and proceeded to a second interview to see how the Tinies consultant and their daughter got on.
The parents offered the position to the Tinies consultant and Tinies was able to provide the family with an employment contract to use, evidence of DBS checks, and the consultant’s references.
Tinies Devon and Cornwall successfully matched the ideal nanny to the parent’s needs, and those of their daughter and soon to be second child.
Tinies was able to find the perfect nanny who ticked all the boxes for the couple. The nanny had the right balance of experience and aptitude with the flexibility to support the family. She was able to be called upon when the mother went into labour.
From aftercare calls made by Tinies after the nanny’s placement, we understand that the nanny has settled in well and has been an incredible support for the family. The parents are delighted with the support this has brought the family as well as the security and peace of mind knowing that everything is in hand at home. This security allowed them to concentrate on their roles at work as well as being parents.
