Full Time Early Years Nursery Practitioner

Job Description

  • A vacancy for a Nursery Practitioner has become available in a busy setting in Long Buckby (NN6). A practitioner with a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification is required to join their friendly team.

    To be considered for this Nursery Practitioner job candidates must have:

    • A full and relevant level 3 or above qualification in Childcare / Early Years

    • Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted standards

    • Previous nursery experience of at least 1 year

    • Excellent communication skills and able to work well in a team

    • A strong understanding of children's individual needs and development

    • Paediatric first aid training is desirable (Tinies can assist)

    • An enhanced DBS check (Tinies can assist)

    Duties for this Nursery Practitioner job will include:

    • Planning and carrying out a wide range of activities both indoors and outdoors

    • General childcare duties

    • Implementing the EYFS framework, carrying out observations, recording and tracking development

    • Supporting a small key group of children

    • Working closely with parents and colleagues

    • Attending regular team meetings and training days

    • Following the settings policies and procedures

    Days and hours for this Nursery Practitioner job job are  4 x full days of 8am – 6pm per week with a 30 minute lunch break (38 hours per week)

    The rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience.

    Candidates must live within a 25 minute radius of Long Buckby.
