Job Description

  • A well established nursery in Wellingborough (NN8) are looking for a full time Nursery Practitioner to become part of their friendly team.

    The hours for this Nursery Practitioner role are 37 hours per week. This can be worked over five days or four longer days. Shifts will be variable to cover the opening hours of the nursery which are 7.30am – 5.45pm

    This role would suit a practitioner who loves to care for babies, settling, nurturing and encouraging them to explore the world around them. Previous experience working with babies is essential for this role.

    Duties for this Nursery Practitioner role include:

    • All childcare duties

    • To work as a team and to liaise with colleagues, families and carers effectively

    • Key worker responsibilities, observations and tracking development

    • Planning and implementing age appropriate activities

    • Providing a safe, caring environment

    To apply for this Nursery Practitioner role candidates must have:

    • A minimum full and relevant level 2 / 3 or equivalent Childcare / Early Years qualification

    • A minimum of 2 years previous early years experience and experience working with babies

    • Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework, keyworker systems and record keeping

    • Paediatric first aid and safeguarding training. (Tinies can assist)

    • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service. (Tinies can assist)

    • The right to work in the UK

    • Candidates must be able to provide employer / education referees covering the last 5 years and be able to explain any gaps
