Job Description

  • Room Leader – Norwood SE27

    A beautiful, well-established nursery in SE27 is seeking a passionate and dedicated Room Leader to join their team. This role is ideal for experienced Room Leaders looking for a new challenge, as well as strong Senior Practitioners who are ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive and progressive environment.

    What we need from you:

    • Level 3 qualification in childcare (or higher)
    • At least 1 year of experience in a nursery setting
    • Previous room leader or senior-level experience is highly welcomed
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
    • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding childcare
    • Ability to work collaboratively and support your team
    • Solid understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures

    Your duties will include:

    • Lead, mentor, and inspire your room team to deliver exceptional care and education
    • Maintain a stimulating, engaging, and nurturing learning environment both indoors and outdoors
    • Plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences tailored to each child’s needs and developmental milestones
    • Build strong, positive relationships with colleagues, parents/carers, and external professionals
    • Uphold all safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare procedures at all times
    • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and organised environment where children can thrive and staff feel supported
