This parent is starting a new job, but they cannot find a nursery has no room for her 3-year-old. The soonest a nursery placement will open in her area is not for six weeks, and this parent does not live near family for childcare support.
This parent needed a nanny who could start the following week and care for their son three days a week until the nursery had a vacancy. Their little boy had some speech delay, so the parent wanted a nanny who would understand this, be patient, and support their son’s language development.
The family wanted a nanny who would stay for the six weeks and be consistent to minimize changes and transitions for their son. This would reassure the parent that their son was being well cared for while they started their new job.
The parent had been recommended to Tinies by another family. When contacting agencies, the parent said she liked that the Tinies consultants had childcare experience and understood her needs. Tinies offered a quick service and helped her with her childcare with a nanny that was fully vetted and had undergone safeguarding training and had a Paediatric first aid qualification.
The family also choose Tinies as for the six week period Tinies payrolled the nanny, so they did not have to set this up for a short period of time.
On receipt of the enquiry Tinies called the parent and spent time talking about what her childcare needs are options available to her.
Tinies then contacted their nannies in the family’s area and identified their availability to help the family and once a suitable nanny who matched the family needs was identified this was discussed with the family.
A video interview was organised with the parent so that she could meet the Tinies nanny. This went well so the nanny did a trial day with the family.
Upon successful trial the nanny completed the six week booking until the little boy started nursery.
Tinies Hants and Surrey placed a nanny from our nanny team with the family. The nanny worked with the parent and her son to provide a fun, stimulating and caring environment for him until he could start at nursery. The nanny provided activities at home and took him out on adventures, supporting his language and all-around development.
Tinies Hants and Surrey have fully vetted nannies with paediatric first aid, safeguarding training and DBS checks helping families with temporary childcare needs and work flexibly with families helping them when they need it.
