• DEPUTY MANAGER

  Qualified early years educator and experienced leader sought for an exciting new opportunity in a well established and popular nursery in Bedale. 

  Are you looking for your next step in your early years career? We're looking for an excellent leader to join the nursery team, in a role that will see you inspiring colleagues and children daily, whilst supporting the effective running of the nursery alongside the manager. 
  
  
  As Deputy Manager, it will be your responsibility to support and oversee other members of staff in the rooms, help mentor apprentices and generally be a point of call for your team. You will also have co-responsibility for the education and curriculum in the nursery, helping to review progress and information shared by key workers, to incorporate long term and medium planning that meets the needs of the children attending the setting. You will spend time in the rooms directly with the children, modelling exemplary pedagogy and practice, getting to know the children and families, and creating a fun, inclusive and engaging play environment for children to thrive. 
  This role would suit a level 3 applicant, who has previous experience of paperwork and administrative duties within the office environment of a nursery. You will also have time out of the rooms to support the manager with the essential background tasks of running a nursery. 
  The nursery are open to both full and part time applicants as the role is offered as a minimum of 30 hours, over full days but could be 40 if desired. They are negotiable on pay, and looking for the right level of experience and  enthusiasm for the role. The role is to start ideally in July, but may be flexible for the right candidate.

  Paed. First Aid desirable (can be provided)
  
  Days: between Monday to Friday
  
  Hours: 30 to 40 hours, please specify your preference on application
