Nanny - South Sheilds 30+ hrs a week

Professional Nanny sought for a family to work weekdays in their home in South Shields

The Nanny is required to work weekdays with the families youngest children. The main responsibility will be the care of the family's 2 year old daughter and include collection from nursery at lunch time. They will support daily routines for sleep, feeding and care, alongside providing age appropriate activities such as singing and music, reading books, exploring toys, crafts and sensory play. In addition, they will organise play dates, trips to the park, attending classes and other social opportunities. The family also have 3 older siblings who will return from school and the Nanny will be flexible to fit in with family life and adaptable to care for the children or support with meals, homework, outdoor games, and entertaining the older children as well using their initiative and working in harmony with parents as needed. General duties will include ensuring the children's play areas and bedrooms are clean and tidy, organisation and cleaning of toys and belongings, and seeing to the children's laundry if required. Children attend after-school activities, and whilst a driver would be helpful this would not stop you from applying. Generally, parents will take older siblings to most activities after school, whilst the nanny stays with the 2 younger siblings.

This is a permanent role starting in June/July 2024. The family require a Nanny who can make at least a year's commitment to the family, if not longer. The standard hours are 12-6pm but most Thursdays* the family would require 12-8pm (30hr+ per week). Salary is dependant on previous experience and qualifications
