We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to lead their team and uphold their commitment to excellence.

As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and operations of our nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and education for children aged 0-4 years old. Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 per year/gross

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management
  • Provide strong leadership and support to nursery staff, promoting a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor team members, conducting regular performance reviews and providing ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, manage staff schedules, and ensure adequate staffing levels to maintain quality care and supervision.

Educational Leadership
  • Lead the development and implementation of a high-quality curriculum that meets the needs and interests of all children, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Support staff in planning engaging and stimulating learning experiences, incorporating both child-led and adult-led activities to promote holistic development.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum, assessing children's progress and providing feedback to staff and parents.

Health, Safety, and Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, legislation, and statutory requirements, including Ofsted standards, health and safety regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, health and safety inspections, and fire drills, taking appropriate action to address any concerns or hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including children's records, staff qualifications, policies and procedures, and health and safety documentation.

Parent Partnership and Communication:
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and families, promoting open communication, trust, and collaboration in their child's learning journey.
  • Organize regular parent meetings, workshops, and events to provide information, support, and opportunities for involvement in nursery activities.
  • Respond promptly to parent inquiries, concerns, and feedback, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education, such as Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Early Childhood Studies, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience working in a leadership role within an early years setting, preferably as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework, child development theories, and best practices in early years education and care.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations, safeguarding procedures, and regulatory requirements in the UK early years sector.

I attended an event in Leeds and I am so impressed with your team of nannies who were there. I have never left my 10mth old son before, so I was nervous, but I felt very at ease practically straight away. All your ladies were very friendly and professional; I was amazed how quickly my son took to them so well. I just wanted to say thank you doing such a great job, it was like having a team of multiple Mary Poppins', thank you from Daniel (aged 10mth) and mummy Rachel xx.
