Claire Adams, Branch Owner

Claire Adams

I am qualified with a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing 1993-1995 and have trained as a Midwife at the University of Hertfordshire in 1997-1999.

I started out my career at Tinies as a Childcare Consultant back in January 2000, and have been responsible for launching and establishing franchises in the Home Counties. I have a staff team of 11 to help support and manage our daily operation.

I now own and run 5 Tinies Franchises acquiring my first franchise in May 2004 with Tinies Hertfordshire. I went on to buy Tinies Buckinghamshire in June 2006 and then in May 2008 I bought Tinies Berkshire Nurseries. In May 2009 I took over Hampshire & West Surrey leaving my most recent acquisition for 2010 to be Tinies Dorset, making me the single largest Tinies franchisee in Tinies history.

We believe Tinies' Vision is to provide the very best nannies and childcarers to our clients, and to be trusted to deliver on that promise. In addition, we must influence and shape the future of the childcare industry.

Internally as a company we are committed to being the preferred supplier for our clients, outshining our competitors, and growing our business year on year.

We deliver a professional, personal and proactive service to find the right childcare solution for our clients. Safety is paramount, and therefore we guarantee all Tinies childcarers undergo vigorous interviewing and screening.

Before joining the Tinies Recruitment Team I was working as a Private Nanny and have 14 years' experience working within the child care industry gaining my Diploma in Childcare and Education in August 2005. I was very excited to start a new career path with completely new challenges ahead and still be able to work within the childcare industry.

I started my position at Tinies in February 2016 as maternity cover running the Temp Nursery desk for Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. The job was very fast passed and I often wondered if I would cope with the amount of new information I was taking in. It was great getting to know the candidates that had worked for Tinies for many years and I had plenty of support from the team. I thought working as a nanny that my new job would be easy but I most certainly have been proven wrong. I survived the maternity position and took on a permanent position with Tinies in January 2017 I worked very closely with the Senior consultant in a shared role and was introduced to the world or permanent employment. I built many new relationships and there was a real buzz when finding a candidate their dream job!

Early 2018 I took on a new challenge and still continue to support nannies with temporary employment, working closely with local hotels providing a babysitting service and working with local authorities providing creches that run alongside parenting courses. In June 2018 I was thrilled to be promoted to Senior Recruitment consultant and I enjoy working closely with the branch manager.

Although I have been faced with various challenges along the way I find my job to be very rewarding and am lucky to work with a wonderful team of people. I have learnt so many new skills and still continue to do so through training. I have learnt a lot about myself along the way and how to deal with circumstances I would have never thought a recruitment agency would need to concur.

I absolutely love my role enganging with the social media side of things - you really don't realise how moving with the times is good for helping candidates and for our own roles.

I have worked in Early Years since I was 16 years old - it was a career path I am so glad I choose. Helping children to learn and watching them grow to now helping people find their perfect career in nurseries or the nanny world.

I am constantly looking for new things that we can change within our social media platforms to help be in contact with you all and supporting you outside of emails and whatsapps!

I am always up for a challenge and LOVE learning new things meeting new people. Building the Tinies brand is so important to me so we can continue to assist people in finding their own career path in the EY.

The whole kids programme went great - we were really pleased with everything from start to finish. The crèche built a great level of confidence amongst the children.
