Case Study: Law Firm Family Christmas Crèche
Every year Hogan Lovells throws a big Christmas party for their Employees and their children on the restaurant floor of their office building
The whole event is centred on entertaining children and their families as a thank you to the hard work of their employees.
Type of contract
Managed Service Contract. We provide the event crèche provision in its entirety.
Size of contract: Once a year.
Length of contract: Annual agreement since 2012.
The Hogan Lovells brief
The party is aimed at children of all ages accompanied by their parents who arrive at various times throughout the for four hour running period.
Tinies ensures that activities are running throughout the day, and that main events such as Santa's arrival and the serving of food, are managed so that no one misses out.
The programme must be accessible to a large number and broad age range of children ensuring that they are stimulated and having fun throughout the event.
Delivery: Tinies Head Office holds the contract centrally; meaning that we liaise with the client to agree terms, costs and key deliverables.
We have fulfilled the contract since December 2012 and have followed the same process for each event.
We meet with the client and confirm a theme and the estimated number of families that will attend; each event has been bespoke to the decided theme and has included equipment and activities:
- Santa's grotto - Presents, Santa himself and the Grotto
- Entertainers - DJ, dressed up characters, caricaturists, acrobats, live animal show, giant bubble display, balloon modellers, face painters, etc
- Activities - Cooking and craft
- Attractions - Surf simulators, bungee run, toddlers soft play
- Decoration - Balloons, scenery, giant cut out characters, large props
- Party food
A full risk assessment of the premises is undertaken prior to the party and covers all safety and security measures. We liaise with the buildings health and safety department directly and we just reassure our client that all checks have been carried out prior to the day.
Tinies select a fully qualified team who possess varied skills to ensure we can cater for all ages attending. This team has to be chosen in advance in order to pass through the enhanced security checks. All team members are interviewed, reference checked and hold a DBS check (police check), ensuring the safety of the children. The Tinies Team are easily identifiable in their 'Tinies' uniform' - logoed polo shirts, black trousers / shorts and name badges.
Post the event we always ask for feedback and share this with the client. A debrief call is held to address any issues and make sure all parties are happy with the execution.
