The Story

A term time only nursery found themselves needing extra staff for three months before the older children left for school. This was a temporary role.

The Challenge

The nursery sought consistency and preferred to have the same staff booked in each week for the children and parents to be familiar with. They aimed to secure bookings for the full period to ensure that they had ratios covered until the end of the academic year.

Why Tinies?

Tinies was recommend to the nursery from other childcarers who had worked with Tinies previously. The nursery felt reassured that Tinies thorough vetting process, which includes safeguarding training, inductions, right to work checks, as well as reference and employment history checks for all nursery practitioners.

The Solution

Tinies spent time talking to the nursery manager to discuss their staff requirements, such as days and hours they needed to cover and for what length of time.

The Tinies nursery consultant advertised the vacancy and circulated it to Tinies candidates who met the criteria for the role to establish current availability and and interest in the role.

The Tinies consultant then went back to the nursery manager and discussed options available and staff who could help.

Tinies have placed two Nursery Practitioners in to cover the three months on a job share basis. The Nursery has shared:

‘I wanted to personally email to say what fantastic staff we have been given to help us as part of our team from Tinies. We have had a lovely positive comment from a parent today regarding a couple of Tinies consultants in the garden interacting with the children and saying how their daughter very much enjoys coming into nursery to see the Tinies consultants.
