Full Time Nursery Nurse Job in Derbyshire

Job description

Are you passionate about the great outdoors and have a desire to inspire young minds in an innovative learning environment? Our Forest School is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner who is enthusiastic about delivering an educational philosophy that focuses on outdoor play, learning through adventure, and the exploration of the natural world.

As a Forest School Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in our team, providing high-quality early years education in an outdoor setting. You will have the opportunity to shape the experiences of children aged 3-5 years, guiding their curiosity, fostering their resilience, and nurturing their love for nature. This position offers the unique chance to integrate environmental education with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, creating a holistic learning journey for our young explorers.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, outdoor-based learning activities that align with the EYFS framework and our forest school ethos.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, creating a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages independence and risk-taking.
Collaborate with fellow team members to continuously develop and enhance our outdoor curriculum, ensuring it meets the developmental needs of the children.
Maintain effective communication with parents and carers, providing updates on their child's progress and achievements.

The Ideal Candidate:
Holds a relevant Level 3 Early Years Education qualification or equivalent.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to outdoor education and has experience working in a forest school setting or similar.
Is enthusiastic, imaginative, and able to inspire and engage young children.
Possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Has a current First Aid certificate and is knowledgeable about health and safety in an outdoor environment.

Join us in delivering an exceptional educational experience that goes beyond the classroom walls. If you are eager to make a difference in the early stages of children's development and share our commitment to outdoor learning, we would love to hear from you.

Tinies were outstanding. They are refreshingly honest and I genuinely felt they were looking to match us with the best nanny and was not just after a fee for placement!
