Job description
Housed in two spacious converted houses with a large garden and terrace, is 2 minutes' walk from Honor Oak station, and only a 5 minute drive from Forest Hill, Dulwich, Crofton Park and Brockley. The nursery and preschool is open from 8am to 6pm, 51 weeks a year, for children from 3 months to 5 years of age. The setting has been designed with natural, sustainable, neutral materials and colours to create a calm, warm environment, and is regularly updated with new toys, equipment and educational resources.
The nursery and pre-school's outside area features an organic fruit and vegetable growing area, a mud kitchen and a library where children can relax on a bean bag and enjoy their favourite book in a cosy environment. They like to give their children the broadest range of experiences with the best quality providers, so alongside our programme of activities linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), also offer a very diverse selection of all-inclusive activities like regular trips to green spaces and nearby woodland, cooking, yoga, coding, football, arts and crafts, French, drama, music, dance classes, sport and PE.

Hours & Salary - 41 per week (4 and a half days) with a salary starting at £24,000 per hour but is negotiable depending on experience and qualfications
Your main tasks and duties include:
To work flexibly as part of the larger team, assisting and supporting colleagues wherever required, in order to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of team work by: Communication is a vital part of team work, supporting management in remaining 'good' and strive towards achieving outstanding with Ofsted, Reflect upon our practice daily in everything we do.
- To be part of a team that provides a purposeful, stimulating environment that is rich in learning opportunities, both indoors and outdoor
- To assist in the development and support of other staff members by communicating effectively, sharing knowledge and experience.
- To respect and value all colleagues, children and parents, encouraging a positive and diverse working environment.
- To co-operate and work effectively with the room leader, taking on additional responsibilities/duties and positively promoting developments in children and their individual needs.
Candidate Requirements:
- Level 3+ in childcare
- Nursery experience
- A willingness to learn and grow
