Enhanced Nanny DBS Check
Any parent who is employing someone to look after their child wants the peace of mind that an enhanced background check for nannies can bring
We regularly complete these employment screening background checks for our own candidates and so can provide this for you, guiding you through the process with ease.
To initiate the police criminal record check you will need to provide us with your name, contact details and postcode (and those of your nanny).
If you live in Scotland then you need to apply for a PVG check, which is a different police check to a DBS. You can apply for a PVG check via your local Scotland branches: Aberdeen / Edinburgh / Glasgow
How to get a DBS check for your nanny
To get a DBS check for your nanny, you will need to contact the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). You can do this by visiting their website and applying for the check directly or via an agency like Tinies. We have a professional team that can easily guide you through the procedure.
Background checks are serviced by your local Tinies agency
A local Tinies team member will contact you to start your nanny background check. They will ask you for the nanny's name, telephone number and email address so that they can invite her in to verify her documents, so please prepare your nanny for this phone call.
What happens next?
Once this meeting has been completed the nanny DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) application form will be submitted, and your employment background check will be underway.
Your local Tinies branch will monitor its progress through the system and inform you by email of the outcome as soon as possible.
It is against data protection for a copy of the disclosure to be given to you but your nanny will receive a copy to her home address and Tinies can divulge to you if the nanny DBS check is clean.
